The Master of Science in Built Heritage is a by-research M.A. under the guidance of Faculty experts in the field. Built Heritage is about the art of conservation in the face of cultural and economic constraints. If you are keen on protecting history from modern building demands, this M.A. invites your critical approaches and analyses and designs for building interventions while maintaining the cultural values of the buildings that are under threat. If you want to explore architecture through a humanistic approach, the M.A. asks that you present your research in the form of a long essay on a topic of your choosing.
This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of the degree of Master of Science - M.Sc. - under the auspices of the Faculty for the Built Environment.
